Privacy

Flatwise is built to use your document, then forget it, and to forget your review too. When you upload or paste an agreement, it’s sent securely to our AI provider to produce your review. Flatwise doesn’t store your document or your review afterward: once your review is shown to you, both are discarded, which is why we ask you to save your review before you leave the page. Our AI provider handles what we send it under its own terms, which may include keeping it for a limited time.

Two short-lived copies stay on your own device and are never sent to us. If you go to pay part-way through, your pasted text or chosen files are held in your browser for up to an hour so they’re here when you return. While a review is on screen, a copy is kept in that browser tab so a refresh doesn’t lose it, until you close the tab, 30 minutes pass, or you press “Clear this”.

What we do keep is what’s needed to run your account: your email address, how many reviews you have left, whether you have a subscription, and a reference linking you to your Stripe payments. Payments are handled by Stripe, so we never see your card details, and sign-in emails are sent through our email provider. We use one cookie, to keep you signed in. Our providers may process information outside New Zealand.

We don’t sell your information, share it with third parties for marketing, or keep a copy of your document or review for our own use. Standard technical logs (like error reports) may briefly record that a request happened, but not the content of your document or your review. You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we keep about you, or ask any question about how it is handled, by contacting us at support@flatwise.co.
